Nine Must-Watch TV Shows

Must Watch TV Shows

I love TV. I become invested in the characters and committed to the storyline. Can any of y'all relate?  The first show I ever remember having that connection to was Sex And The City. However, about a year ago I canceled my cable plan. I found that I was watching all of my favorite shows after they had aired, and it was a waste of money for me. All I have now is Apple TV and occasionally I use Sling. I haven't really missed my cable subscription at all. I'm sharing this little bit of personal info. in case any of you all are considering doing the same thing. I really can't recommend it enough if your circumstances are similar to mine.

Aaaaanyway...

I never share posts like this - those posts about what bloggers are reading or watching. So, I thought today I would mix things up a bit and give you guys a peek at what you can find on my watch lists on my Apple TV! Let me know if you watch any of these shows or have any recommendations!

**

1. GOOD GIRLS REVOLT (Amazon Original) - I am so bummed there's only one season of this show. It's entertaining and witty, but packs a punch with the content it addresses. You'll be able to relate to the female interaction and bonds that form.

2. POWER - This show isn't going to be for everyone, heads up. But I was quickly hooked and would watch it all over again. 50 Cent is one of the executive producers and also stars in the show. NYC, drugs, night club life, a heated affair - it's one hundred percent drama.

3. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS - Darn you, Netflix, for taking this away! Ugh. One of my favorite shows of all time. Tim Riggins, you're a heartthrob. Tami Taylor, you're my spirit animal.

4. THE NIGHT MANAGER - This miniseries will have you clicking "next episode" as quickly as possible. Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie are brilliant in their roles.

5. HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER - I've watched this show since the beginning and still think Viola Davis is the greatest. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming crossover episodes with Scandal.

6. GAME OF THRONES - I was late to the party with this one, but blasted through every season in about two weeks. Again, this is a series that isn't going to be for everyone, but those who love it are next-level committed.

7. EMPIRE - Cookie Lyon. That's basically all you need to know. Oh, and the original music is bomb.

8. THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL (Amazon Original) - This will give you all the girl power feels. I wasn't raised in a Jewish home, but there are so many things about Midge's life that are relatable. And there's nothing I don't love about vintage style, witty women, and a well-timed F bomb.

9. MAD MEN - This one had to grow on me. I wasn't sold on Mad Men at first - it actually took me all of season one to really catch on to the hype. And then it picked up speed, and I couldn't stop until I had finished. It's another show with fascinating, strong female roles that balance (and at time overshadow) the sexism of the era.
