My Style: Lilly Pulitzer Off-The-Shoulder Dress (on a cute cabin porch!)

If I could take all my blog photos here, I would! How stinkin' cute is this cabin, you guys? Here's the story: A couple weeks ago we were going to one of our favorite local restaurants to celebrate my mama's birthday. Y'all, the building isn't much to look at from the outside, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is on point. We've been going there for years. In the field behind the restaurant, the owners have a couple of little cabins that can be rented out. They're decorated in the same unique, quirky style as the restaurant. So before leaving home, I grabbed my camera hoping that we could take some blog pictures. I wanted so badly to share this dress on the blog - I had only worn it once before when we were at the beach last month. I don't think I could have handpicked a better spot. This little cabin is so perfectly southwest Virginia, and these photos marry together so many things that I love.

For everyone in the south, and especially where I come from, "porch sitting" is a way of life. I grew up on my grandparents' front porch watching the cars go up and down the road, usually stringing green beans next to my mamaw. So, to be able to capture that in these pictures makes me happy, sad, and a little nostalgic. She would've loved these pictures so much. . .
