Life Lately: February 2020

Julie Leah Blog monthly recap

Hey, friends! I was hoping to get a post up between my monthly recaps but it just didn't happen. February was super fun, obviously flew by so fast, and kept me busy. I was able to spend some quality time with family and friends - dinners, birthday parties, etc.

It's a little startling when I think about how close we are to being finished with another school year! Summer vacation is going to be here before we know it!

Below is my February round-up of goings-on in my world - enjoy!

WHAT I DID:
One of my favorite things from February was spending a weekend in Charlottesville. If you ever get the opportunity to go, it's a great weekend spot! We also indulged in a huge brunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Jack's Shop Kitchen.

WHAT I WATCHED:
I binged both seasons of Killing Eve and have gone back and watched a few episodes a second time. I completely understand the hype around this show - it's so GOOD. The music adds so much to every scene.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
I shared a story on instagram about a particular Rebecca Minkoff bag that I have loved for several years. By the time I saw it, though, it was sold out everywhere. I finally found it last month on Poshmark in brand new condition! Definitely my favorite bag purchase in a long time!

I also got this adorable Alex & Ani bracelet featuring two of my favorite Disney characters, Duffy & Shelliemay. I found it on Mercari from a seller in HI who does personal shopping for Aulani Disney pieces.

WHAT INSPIRED ME:
This story about a teen entrepreneur who makes bowties for shelter animals so they'll get adopted. Melt. my. heart. Make sure to check out his website too!

MOST LOVED IG POST:
My friend, Lori, bought me the most wonderful mug for my birthday. It features all the iconic bits from Gilmore Girls. I shared a photo of it on instagram and it was a huge hit :)

THANKFUL FOR:
Snow days, mental health days, and do-nothing weekends.
