Thoughts on 2015

We're now nine days into the new year, and I've had lots of things on my mind about 2015. Being in your late twenties certainly doesn't make you old or even wise, but there are definitely significant life experiences that help you make smarter decisions. So, for 2015 I'm keeping a few things in mind. I don't want to call them resolutions - that seems a little cliche. My hope is that these will be things that I stick to throughout the year and in years to come.

**

Quality over quantity || If I'm not feeling inspired to write a blog post one day, I'm not going to stress out about it and just put something up to say I blogged that day. I'm also setting my head to making more investment purchases - things that are going to last me a lifetime. I'm thinking I may have come out of the "trendy" years.

Be healthier for me || Sure, there are tons of commercials, articles, and even people you know telling you how important it is to be healthy. After dealing with a few health issues in 2014, I've finally had a revelation of my own. It's about being healthy for yourself - not because you're being told that's what you should do. Being healthier doesn't have to be dramatic or extreme, just a few changes in your daily routine can make a huge difference.

Draw closer to God || As I've mentioned before, I don't talk a lot about my faith here. But my hope is that my relationship with God grows even stronger in 2015. I started going to a new church about eight months ago, and it has completely changed my view of Christianity and my relationship with God. This is one of my main focuses this year.

Spend more time with friends || If that means traveling to them, then so be it. There were so many people that I didn't see enough of in 2014, and I vow to change that this year. I'm already off to a good start because I spent the first four days of the new year with my best friends. I'm also making an effort to see friends that are nearby, as well. It's so easy to get wrapped up in what's written in your planner and lose focus on what matters. True, meaningful relationships.

Here's to a truly wonderful and fulfilling year, my friends!

Love your resolutions! I'm trying to do some of the same things this year.
