I'm sure by now you've heard about Vine. It literally took the blogging world by storm yesterday as we all rushed to download the app and attempt to create the perfect first video.

My first thought was, "Oh good gracious, I can't handle another social media platform!" I stepped away for a minute, took a breather, and came to this conclusion - This is the direction we're going. Plenty of sites have been discussing (for quite some time now) the video curve that bloggers are approaching. So, yes, it's easy to say that you don't want to hear about it, you're tired of social media, you're this, you're that. But the underlying message here is that if you don't jump on the social media train, it will leave you behind and not think twice. Not that you have to jump on, of course.

I get it, social media isn't for everyone. There may even be some of you who have active accounts that don't even really like it, you just go through the motions with it. Speaking very personally, though, I love social media. I love interacting with people around the world every day. Whether it be with a post, a tweet, an instagram, or now, a short video. For me, this an exciting new way to interact with all you awesome people!

Who knows at this point if Vine will have the staying power of instagram, but I'm giving it a go. It's given me a new opportunity for creativity and let's be honest, there's going to be some major video-worthy moments in NYC next week :)

So, talk to me, people. Tell me your thoughts about Vine...good, bad, ugly...in the comments!

Oh, and come find me! Just like everywhere else, I'm Julie Leah :)

I downloaded it yesterday and love it! I can see it getting addicting just as I am addicted to instagram and twitter...Although, I am reading a lot of articles today that the Vine may have a porn problem?? I hope they get it fixed!!

I just joined too and am following you! I have yet to create my first video - still getting the hang of it. I agree though, it's the wave of the future! I predict 2013 will definitely be the year of video.

So I love social media, and at first when I saw everyone downloading I was like. O shoot, now I have to learn another app! But as soon as I got it I became obsessed. Totes on the Vine train.

I joined, and looked around on it yesterday. I wasn't too sure about it and when I opened it up to check on it today it wasn't working! This is probably going to be like facebook, one of those things that I really just don't use!!
