Winter Sunshine

As I was browsing Shannon's latest newsletter, I clicked on her link to Oprah's 20 Questions That Could Change Your Life. Among the questions the one that stuck with me all day yesterday was 'what's so funny?' Think about it, what's the last thing in your life that gave you really good belly-laugh? That one thing that just made you snort with laughter and feel like a kid again?

In the article, the author mentions the fact that as we grow up the number of times per day that we laugh drops dramatically, from 400 times as a toddler to 15 times as an adult. I just don't think that's acceptable at all! Today I'm asking you to find something completely immature and childish and have a good laugh- a laugh that you haven't felt in a while, one that makes your heart nearly burst, a laugh that would make those snotty adults around you say 'What's so funny?'

Here's to a sunshiny day even if the sun isn't shining! Here's to being a kid, if only for today!

Great post Julie and love the cutie in the last image.
My husband makes me belly laugh every day, and I am SO grateful to have him and laughter in my life. What more does a girl need? OK, maybe shoes...perfume...champagne- breakfasts.......

Need images today! We are getting another snow storm and my whole apartment is so dark.
I actually snorted on Saturday I was laughing so hard. Wish it happened more often!

Hi Julie! I will join you on the laugh committee and second the notion that the laugh factor stats are unacceptable! You have brought a smile to my face and I promise to let it rip with the kids when they get home. I'm sure the look on their faces will get me truly laughing harder XOXO

I love this post, Julie! It's so true that laughter is the best medicine and adults need more of it. Thanks for the great reminder.

Love love love that yellow! The last time I laughed that hard was when the bf was trying on ugly holiday sweaters at Wal-Mart for a party. It was way way way too funny. ;)

Oh, this is just what I needed. We had an emergency "snow pick up" today before noon --- looking like delays for tomorrow.

We could so use a dose of sunshine and a good belly laugh up here!!!

Oh, my funny bone was tremendously tickled when yesterday mr. coco suggested we strap a rhino's horn onto maggie while we walk her. Just the thought had me in stitches. He comes up with the goofiest, most hilarious ideas ~ Have a great day ~ xox Alexandra
