Thursday.

 (Image via dustjacket attic)

What is it about Thursday that's so exhilarating? The promise that tomorrow is Friday, maybe? The fact that the week is winding down? Thursday has quickly become one of my favorite days of the week. It gives me hope and encouragement that I had the strength to endure whatever was thrown at me the previous three days.

For the past couple of weeks, as you all know, I have really been struggling with time management, maintaining my sanity, self-preservation, and still giving back to those who love and support me. I had a conversation with Trish a couple days ago and told her that I felt like I'm being pulled in a million different directions. I told her it was overwhelming (not to mention exhausting) to be so many things to so many people.

Where is the balance? That's the hardest part. How do you balance your career, relationships, school, and all those little extras? As I'm writing this post my eyes are heavy from lack of sleep, and the burden of another packed day is upon me. Can anyone else relate? Surely you can...

So, here's to Thursday! The day when I finally start to feel some relief from all the chaos....

These little sweets are the perfect way to celebrate, no?

I hope your Thursday is sweet as can be, loves!

Oh sweet Julie! CHEERS to Thursday!!! You're right, it's like Friday is just...within...grasp. Almost there! Make sure that you are taking Julie time, and you are pampering yourself. Get/give yourself a mani/pedi this weekend - indulge in a glass of wine - go grab some delish appetizers and girl time with your besties. Whatever you do, I hope you are smiling while you are doing it. xoxo

I love the picture of SJP staring at the dog! Too cute! Do you have a hard time saying no, Julie? I used to have a problem saying no but realized I was being stretched to thin and had to learn the hard way. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and have a chance to regroup, catch your breath, take a nice long bubble bath and get some rest. xo

Thursdays are great, have thought so ever since I was a kid. Loved looking forward to Fridays, magical Fridays. Probably because I moved every couple of years and usually hated school, so the bliss of the weekend loomed large and lovely before me, when I could wander about, climb trees, explore. Still have that gypsy gene. Loved the cat in the bed picture. Only with us, it's two cats and a 100lb lab by the name of Miss Maggie. We never get cold. :) The pulled-in-all-directions...the best thing I learned to do...say "no." If that's hard, start out by saying, "Let me think on it." Thus, you've not over committed yourself. It's your life. You control it. There are things we must do and things we do not have to do. Many times it's our own guilt, for whatever reasons, or no good reason, that makes us do waaay too much. Hope your Friday is full of promise and you have a relaxing weekend. Also, when you are an organized, responsible person, people will come to you to do things, so it's like a double whammy. Remember....nooooo.... :)

I can absolutely relate! I'm moving this weekend and have been trying to balance eveything, it seems I have more to do than I can actually do but we have to keep on going. Your post made my day!
