My Favorite Things of 2022

Better late than never, right?! I love "close out the year" posts and round-ups. So, today I'm sharing my favorite things/moments of 2022!

This is the most random assortment of favorites, but also feels very true and authentic. 2022 was another year of still processing recent years past - the ghost of 2020 can cross over anytime now, thanks. My goal was to get this up before January was over and  - checks planner - we're just in time. So, let's hope right into it!

ENNEAGRAM 

If y'all aren't familiar with the enneagram, go HERE right now and take the free quiz. This is similar to the Myers-Briggs assessment, but, in my opinion, offers so much more insight and detail. Also, it's just plain cool. Once you've gotten your number, I guarantee you'll end up down a rabbit hole of enneagram websites and instagram accounts!

AERIE OFFLINE LEGGINGS

I don't know what took me so long to try these, but they are (without a doubt) the best leggings I've ever worn. After ordering my first pair, once they arrived and I tried them on, I immediately ordered a second pair. My two favorite styles are the Crossover Leggings in the 7/8 length and the Crossover Flare Leggings.

TAYLOR SWIFT

Her music was the soundtrack of 2022 for me - specifically her folklore and evermore albums. And getting tickets to her Eras Tour was a HUGE highlight of last year.

WEDNESDAY ON NETFLIX

Without a doubt, this is my favorite show that I've watched in a long time. At this point, I've watched the series through several times. It's nostalgic but fresh, the characters are so likable, and it possesses a quality that makes it an instant classic. So many of my friends felt the same way!

MCDONALD'S COKE EXTRA ICE

My go-to soda, pick-me-up, and "little treat." There are some days that just require a pass through the drive-thru.

SCL OVERSIZED DENIM JACKET

I loved the SCL x Target collaboration as much as everyone else, and the denim jacket quickly became one of my favorite pieces. It's perfectly oversized, a great length, has the shiniest gold buttons, and already felt "broken in" when it arrived.

PINK BUCKLED MULES

I found myself reaching for these mules over and over last year. For me, pink is a neutral so there was always an opportunity to wear them. I always get compliments on them - I think because they're such a great color but offer a polished look to any outfit.

MEMES

I wish I knew exactly how many memes that I exchanged with friends last year. They were the brightest spot in some of my days, and I'm grateful to be surrounded by people who share my (weird) sense of humor.

GILMORE GIRLS

My comfort show. My cozy blanket. My calm in the chaos. I know I'm not alone in the feelings I have about and the connection I share with these characters. There are very few days that I don't watch at least one episode of GG.

KACEY MUSGRAVES CONCERT

In February, one of my best friends and I saw Kacey in Nashville. We've seen her 3 times together and it's always the best experience. Her fan-base is such a great mix of people.

STONEY CLOVER LANE NASHVILLE

On that same trip to see Kacey, I got to visit my first SCL store! And it did not disappoint! We just so happened to be there on the day of one of the Disney collection launches so it was a little crazier than we had planned but definitely worth it! The next store I hope to visit is New Orleans!

MILANI CONCEALER

I have already purchased the Milani Conceal + Perfect Concealer multiple times and I simply cannot quit it. It's lightweight while still offering the best coverage. It never creases - especially under my eyes. It's buildable if you need a little extra. And the price can't be beat for the quality you get!

SPARKLEMUSE JEWELRY

Every time I want my accessories to really pack a punch, I pull out my Sparklemuse pieces. I adore the two women who own the brand and appreciate the creativity and imagination they pour into their designs.

MANICURES

Getting my nails done will always make my list of favorite things. It feels like a little gift to myself every few weeks. It's also something that I love for people to share on social media - I love getting ideas for new colors or designs to try. I also have an instagram highlight dedicated to my manicures if you need some inspiration of your own!

BAG CHARMS

If you follow me on instagram you already know how much I love a bag charm! I feel like last year they were popping up everywhere. More likely than not, my bag is always going to be adorned with something - a fun Disney option is my favorite.

CHARLESTON AT THANKSGIVING

My family hasn't traveled over the holidays in the past, but this year we decided to take a trip to Charleston, SC during Thanksgiving. We agreed, that this is something we want to do every year from now on. It was relaxing and really got us in the holiday spirit because everything was already decked out for Christmas.
