Fall made a swift entry here last week and over the weekend - yay! I can't imagine wearing these denim shorts right now unless I paired them with black tights. I wanted to hop on today and share this look from a couple weeks ago when the temperature was still in the upper 80s and humid. This summer I became a huge fan of denim cut-offs - seen here, here, here, and here. Now I have two pairs that are permanently on rotation in my wardrobe.
Several months ago, I was cleaning out my closet and came across two pairs of jeans that I hadn't worn in years. Both of them were still in good condition, and I really didn't want to give them up. So I made cut-offs from both and wore them all summer. For me personally, I liked the idea of repurposing jeans I already had rather than buying them brand new. I'm tall, my butt is round, and I've had very little luck over the years finding shorts that I like. Making my own cut-offs allowed me to control the length (hello, non-teenybopper crotch crawling shorts!) and fray them the way I wanted.
I'm hoping I can still wear my denim shorts a few more times this fall with sweaters (no tights) and booties before it gets too chilly. Pop over to instagram to see some of my other daily looks - I share on my stories almost daily and always save everything under my "style" highlight :)
Happy Monday, friends!
