Hey there, friends! I have no excuse for not getting this post up yesterday aside from complete exhaustion. I had one of the most fun weekends I've had in a long time and it was all thanks to some really great friends (who feel just like family). Friday night I went to the Barter Theatre with my friend Lori and her family to see the Footloose musical. I didn't really have an expectation for the show and hadn't heard any opinions about it. It ended up being tons of fun, high energy, with an incredible cast. If you live nearby, I definitely recommend seeing it! Then on Sunday, I spent the day at Dollywood (Dolly Parton's theme park) and had so much fun. You know that little kid kind of fun? When you go to Disney World? It was just like that. I hadn't been to Dollywood in years and have been aching to go. We made a full day of it - riding rides, indulging in funnel cake and frozen lemonade. If you ever get the chance to go, I can promise that you'll love it!

This is what I wore for the show on Friday night. The dress is a recent purchase from My Kind of Lovely, and I love it even more than I thought I would. It's really well-made - the fabric is substantial (not flimsy at all), the ruffle around the shoulder lays so perfectly, and it has pockets. It also comes in a really pretty mint color. I don't think you would regret this purchase at all for summer! And I would love it if you support my girl boss friends, Katie and Caroline!
These are a few snaps from our day at Dollywood. My friend Kristie and her two daughters feel just like family to me. We had the most wonderful day together! I also got some questions about my shirt. It's a Charlie Southern design that I got from My Kind of Lovely a couple years ago :)
This shop is inside the theme park and features pieces that I would imagine could definitely be found in Dolly's own closet. Lots of rhinestones, fringe, and feminine details. It's a fun experience just to walk through even if you don't buy anything!
The best way to end my day at Dollywood - a funnel cake covered in powdered sugar, strawberries and whipped cream. Sinfully delicious. (PS: This photo was taken in the portrait setting on the iPhone 7+ - the quality is crazy good!)
