My Style: Tie Dye Tunic + Gun Metal Jewelry

I took these photos a couple weeks ago near the train tracks downtown. I'm always on the lookout for spots to take pictures that capture the unique vibe and personality of where I live. There was actually a train that came through at one point, and we had to pause for a minute because my shirt kept blowing around! #bloggerproblems

This is also the first set of pictures I took after I got my nose pierced - and the day my parents saw it for the first time. They were just thrilled that it was subtle! I told my mom I intentionally didn't tell her about it because she would've tried to talk me out of it, "Honey, I'm really not sure if that's a good idea." I could hear her in my head when I was sitting at the tattoo parlor. Now I know for most getting your nose pierced at almost thirty isn't a real big deal, but for me it kinda was. As silly as it sounds, it was this little piece of my rebel heart coming out. Life has been great and weird (yes, at the same time) lately and it felt really good to just say, "dang it, I'm doing this!" Please tell me you know that feeling. . .
