My Style: Printed Cape & Pink Accessories

Hi there! Let's have a little catch-up session today, shall we? In yesterday's post I linked to this instagram that I posted last week, but I want to chat about it a little more today here on the blog. I've been so discouraged lately with social media (instagram specifically). What once was a fun way to share "snaps" of your life has now become such a chore - at least for me. Everything has to be perfect before it's shared, and sometimes it can take 10 or 20 tries before you're even satisfied with the photo. So my question I posted on instagram was - When did instagram stop being fun? There have been lots of articles written lately about the lack of authenticity on social media and the portrayal of "real life" that people are so desperate for. It's definitely something to think about. I've taken a step back from instagram in the last week or so simply because of my frustration. I've lost a handful of followers so my thoughts have, of course, been critical of myself. Why am I doing this if people aren't interested?

I hope some of you can relate to what I'm feeling. It's really hard feeling like you're deserted on an island. I wanted to share this story today just for that one other blogger out there who may have some of the same feelings I do. I promise, we're all in this together. Now let's get back to the fun stuff - like a new outfit post!
