Let's Go There: Nashville, TN

It just occurred to me last night when I was putting together today's post that we've been on a lot of trips this summer! I'm so happy that all the ladies I've asked to be part of this series were as excited as I was! You can revisit all the features right here!

Today I'm excited to have my friend Emily over talking about her recent trip to Nashville. Emily and I met through SBS (duh!), and I fell in love with her spunky personality immediately. She has amazing style and mixes some great looks for her blog, The Style Hunter. You can also follow along on her stylish adventures on instagram - trust me, you want to!

I traveled with one of my besties to my favorite music city, Nashville!

My gal, Cortney, who lives in my hometown of Savannah, drove up to Atlanta (where I'm currently living) and stayed with me on the Thursday before we headed up to Tennessee! We had yummy Mexican and people watched, obvi. The next morning, bright and early, we headed up to Nashville to spend some time with her family! The main purpose of the trip was to take maternity photos of Cort's sister! Our plans were a lot of family time - planning her sister's maternity outfits for the shoot (since Cortney and I met when I worked at J. Crew and her sis trusted our opinions), antiques shopping, painting a dresser hot pink and eating some hot chicken at Hattie B's...which was PHENOM. Ha! Sounds like a super random trip, but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way!

My packing strategy is a little bit all over the place. I was actually talking to Cortney about it, and she said I pack spur of the moment. Which is hilarious, since my packing for this trip happened at like 12:30 am on Thursday! I always seem to bring anything relatively new in my closet, and mix in a couple oldies but goodies. In my every day style, I usually pile on the jewels, but tend to go more minimal when I travel. I'm also not a big over-packer, which either works out perfectly, or I have to Google Map myself to the nearest mall. Neither of which are bad scenarios in my book.

My favorite item had to be the Kendra Scott Caralyn Ear Cuffs. They are so not me, a little bit edgier than I normally go, which is super cool. I love going outside my comfort zone every once in a while, and these bad boys do it! I loved wearing them with the pom pom off the shoulder number I packed. And really, with Kendra Scott...you can't go wrong.
