It should come as no surprise that I'm a huge fan of the designer-meets-affordable collaborations that we've seen over the last few years on the racks of some of our favorite retailers. As a girl on a budget, it's fun to have access to these (affordable) designer pieces and still have money in the bank after the purchases. Kohl's has its own series of collaborations, DesigNation. They've collaborated with Narcisco Rodriguez, Catherine Malandrino and, most recently, Peter Som - known for his "bold sophistication and eclectic elegance." The collection debuted in April and is inspired by the laid-back luxury of St. Barth's. Breezy dresses, comfy tanks, and pieces that can easily be mixed and matched are what you'll find when you browse the made-for-vacation collection. The postcard maxi skirt that I'm wearing here is easily one of my favorites, and I can't wait to pack it for our annual beach trip in July.
