As promised, today I'm sharing the details of how to create your own Christmas topiaries like the ones currently sitting atop my mantle. These are so simple, don't make a mess, and add the perfect bit of sparkle to your holiday decor! Get a full look at my Christmas mantle here!
I purchased all of my supplies at Wal-Mart, but I'm sure similar items could be found at any craft store. The bases are mercury glass candle holders and just so happened to be the perfect size to hold the trees. The ornament containers are deceiving - I ended up using about 3 cylinders of each color. I used hot glue and alternated the color/finish until there was about two inches of exposed tree at the top. I tied on a simple bow and ta-da, all finished! Yes, it's that simple!
