I was so sad yesterday when I learned of Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau's passing. If you've been reading this blog any length of time you know how much I adore the Lilly brand and lifestyle. She was truly an inspirational lady, having her brand be born from a juice stand and encouraging us to "live like it's spring" and make each day a celebration. She told the Associated Press in 2009, "I designed collections around whatever struck my fancy...fruits, vegetables, politics, or peacocks! I entered in with no business sense. It was a total change of life for me, but it made people happy!"

Heaven is surely a more colorful place now.
