What She Wore

Inauguration Style I

Inauguration Style II

How gorgeous was the First Lady on Monday?! Every minute of the day I thought she looked stunning. Just as she did with Jason Wu back in 2009, she's set Thom Browne's womenswear career spinning after wearing a beautiful silk jacquard coat custom-made for the occasion. Her dress underneath was also Thom Browne with a Reed Krakoff cardigan on top. And once again she pulled in accessories from J. Crew (which continues to make me love her more). I loved the variations of blue that the First Family wore for Monday's daytime events.

Choosing Jason Wu to design her Inaugural Ball gown again, Mrs. Obama rocked a red halter dress with velvet detailing and a killer v-cut back. I haven't been able to track down a shoe photo, but rumor has it they were custom Jimmy Choo. Let me just add that I am loving her in those bangs. I think they make her look more youthful and frame her face so well. Basically, I want to be her when I grow up.

What did you think, gang? Did you love her looks, too?

She looked so fabulous! I hear J. Crew (and Jenna Lyons mainly) is retiring all the pieces the first family wore for the event!
