A Tale of Two Cities

If no one else can be thanked for making us fall in love with New York and Paris, Carrie Bradshaw certainly can. I've long had a love affair with New York, and the fashion fantasy world of Sex and the City just added to the glamour and ritz. Sure, there's no New York writer living the life of Carrie on a one-relationship-column salary alone. But a girl can dream, right?!

I came across the first image below on tumblr one day. Upon clicking back to the original source I was greeted by the most charming blog, Paris vs New York: A Tally of Two Cities. There's absolutely nothing I don't love about these lovely pieces of art- they're fun, charming and cheeky while reminding us of all the little bits and pieces we love about the City of Light and the Big Apple.

There are plenty more on the blog, click on over!

I took inspiration from Vahram's art and created this collection. The best of both worlds, if you ask me!

So, friends, tell me...

New York or Paris?

  6. Perfect post, and well, I love both cities. NYC and Paris. Been to both several times and I just cannot make a decision here. BOTH is my answer, though if you made me really choose and all...I'd go with...New York. Hands down. Paris is awesome, classic, and full of love but New York has something else, the "special extra" that adds spice to it. ;)

  16. What a wonderful post! Jumping over to the Paris vs New York blog right away!

(And for the record, I choose Paris - NY is a great place to visit, but I like the laid back, laissez faire attitude of the French whether its applied to food, wine or an afternoon walk.)

  17. I feel like your speaking to ME through this post... b/c of my SJP / Carrie Bradshaw luv! I'm seriously so thankful that SATC reruns are being played on E... I'm addicted! The only reason why I say NYC is b/c I've been several times and each time I go I fall more and more in luv with the city and beautiful surroundings... Paris, I've never been.... but I'll go, wanna take me! ;) Great post my luv!

  18. Obsessed with this post. New York is one of my great loves. Haven't been to Paris yet, but I'll be studying abroad there for the whole month of July, and I can't wait to see how it holds up to my beloved NYC!
