Behind the Scenes: Snail Mail

(Stationery: Various sources // Pencils gifted from Mackenzie)

If you've been reading this blog for a while then you know one of my favorite little pleasures is snail mail. Giving, receiving, collecting stationery, hoarding pens and pencils, and constantly being on the search for special stickers and stamps (I picked up some really cute stickers from the Eloise shop at The Plaza that I can't wait to use!) - I love it all and have quite a collection. I'm opting to not show you the drawer in my office that my note cards have outgrown. Instead, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite designs scattered on my desk. Click on for more photos!

(Pencils gifted from Connie)

(Fleur de lis, Bee & Deer from Michael's // Butterfly and J from T.J. Maxx // Le Pens from Books-a-Million)

I also love to frame special cards that people send or unique stationery that I find.

Do you all love snail mail as much as I do?!

It is so shameful that I have been reading your blog for so long and never commented. It is one of the 7 or 8 blogs I always check as soon as I am sitting at my desk in my office each morning. So I really should have been commenting long ago.

I had to comment today because snail mail is dear to my heart. Few things brighten my day more than than opening my mailbox and seeing a lovely handwritten note.

After seeing this post I knew I had to let you know about the Correspondence Club hosted by Nnenna @ Star Crossed Smile . Nnenna partners you up with someone and each month around the 15th you send your partner a letter and include a little gift (less than 5 $). Your partner changes about every 3 months. I currently have my 5th partner and I have met such amazing, kindhearted ladies. It is a great way to connect with other bloggers and I now count these ladies among my closest blogger friends.

I love all of your stationary. The bee cards are are adorable.

Whoa! I remember when I was young, I also collect stationery and keeping them. I sometimes write something using my stationery using colored pencils and give them to my friends and love ones. I really love doing this too. size genetics

Oh my gosh, I have always been obsessed with getting mail. I belonged to pen pal clubs when I was a kid and my cousins and I would exchange letters. I always loved the trip to the mail box to see if anything was waiting for me. When I was little, it was Lisa Frank stationery that I loved, but now I've got some new favorites. Love seeing a snapshot of your impressive collection!

I love this! I have an extensive collection of stationery and can't resist buying it whenever I see something pretty.

Your post reminds me I realllllllly need to get my customs pencils up and running! I've had the equipment for almost a year now and have been too busy to get that arm of the business going!
