Screen Siren Inspiration for Fashion Week

Jamie Beck, author of the beautiful tumblr blog From Me To You and photographer extraordinaire, has been documenting her time during New York Fashion Week as one of the twenty-four bloggers chosen by tumblr to represent the blogging community and spread the word about the influence and popularity of blogs in the world of fashion. As you can see from the photo above, Jamie is lovely and has a classic beauty about her.

For the NYFW events Jamie decided (quite brilliantly, actually) to "take inspiration for her daily outfits to the tents from the women who have done it so well before us." Everyone from Audrey to Marilyn, her outfits have given me so much inspiration while I've been following her fashion adventure that I just had to share it with you!

(Above quote from Jamie's blog)

Balloons, full skirt, classic up-do

**

Soft curls, bright red details, sex appeal

**

Twirling skirt, crisp white blouse, colorful accessories

**

Parisian flair, black patent belt, flirty style

**

Timeless beauty, straight skirt, scarf and sunglasses combo

**

Menswear turned feminine, brooch accent, vintage-inspired heels

I love everything about Jamie's style and inspiration for all the events she's attending during fashion week. I think taking from the iconic ensembles of the screen sirens that we all admire is the perfect twist and recipe for turning heads in the midst of all the layers, boots, and furs of NYFW.

Cheers to you Jamie- so beautiful!

You can see my office in the first picture with the balloons...just to the right of the arch. I'm sitting there right now looking out my window at the arch in Washington Square =)
