"You're a virgin who can't drive..."

"That was way harsh, Tai."

Do you remember that line? Of course you do! It's only from the greatest movie of the nineties (in my humble opinion)! I loved Clueless! It was my movie. I wanted to live in California, I wanted to have a computer program to pick out my clothes every morning, I wanted a revolving closet full of the latest fashions, I wanted Cher's vocabulary, and I often made an 'L' on my forehead and a 'W' with my thumbs and pointer fingers. But I mean, who didn't? You didn't? As if!

Well, today I'm doing a throw back to 1995 and the year of the spoiled teenager that every pre-teen and teen girl longed to be...

(The cast)

 Mel: Where are you?!
Cher: I'm just having a snack at my girlfriend's.
Mel: Where, in Kuwait?
Cher: Is that in the valley?

"And in conclusion may I please remind you that it does not say R.S.V.P on the Statue of Liberty!"

Amber: Whatever. Was I the only one listening? I thought it reeked.
Cher: No, I believe that's your designer imposter perfume.

"Would you look at that body language? Legs crossed towards each other. That is an unequivocal sex invite."

"Okay, so you're probably going, 'Is this like a Noxzema commercial or what?' But seriously, I actually have a way normal life for a teenage girl."

Dionne: Phat! Did you write that?
Cher: Duh! It's like a famous quote.
Dionne: From where?
Cher: Cliff's Notes.

Cher: Been shopping with Dr. Seuss?
Dionne: At least I wouldn't skin a collie to make my backpack.
Cher: It's faux.

Mel: What the hell is that?
Cher: A dress.
Mel: Says who?
Cher: Calvin Klein.

I was in the third grade when this movie came out and wanted nothing more than to be Cher Horowitz. I wanted that silver caboodle that she took to class and those pens with the feathers on top.

This movie brings back wonderful memories from my childhood. What about you? Does this movie bring back memories for you? Is there another movie that you consider 'your movie?'

Happy Monday, my loves!

This was a great movie, thanks for the stroll down memory lane!

I'm a little older than you, I guess, so I think my movie may have been Pretty in Pink! I wanted Molly Ringwald's cute, pink car and cool, weird pink clothing!

Ooooo, Clueless is one of my favs too! I can never pass it up on tv, and I own it! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I had a Clueless themed birthday party one year :)

I use the lines, "Lucy, you know I don't speak Mexican" & "You jeepin' behind my back?" all the time, haha :) There are so many good ones though!

I loved Clueless. It was the best movie when I was a tween. I still have it although I haven't watched it in years. I may have to dig it out soon and torture Hubs.

Haha - I loved that movie!
I am in an English Novel class, and I found out that this move is based on Jane Austen's Emma which I also love!
Who would've though?!

Oh my goodness my childhood was defined by Clueless. When it came out I was a little young to get all the jokes, but I definitely understood that there was some sort of adult humor going on and I just liked that idea.

My friends and I loved Clueless so much that for a while we called each other by the characters names. I was Tai, which I resented because I hated her raspy voice and tomboy style (at first, of course!)

"As if!" Love this movie! "rollin with the homies.." or I love Dions boyfriend. "Cause I'm keepin it real." It's sad Brittany Murphy is not with us anymore. You just made me feel old. I graduated in '95.

I loved this movie! Well actually my big sister loved this movie and I loved anything she loved. I always thought Cher was the coolest girl ever and wanted to be just like her. I watched this movie a few months ago and it's crazy how much more you understand when you're older. (I remember asking what a virgin was. She wouldn't tell me. And I had no clue what "surfing the crimson tide" was. haha!) Man, I miss the '90s. Those were the days, right?! This was a really fun post, Julie!

This is definitely one of my faves. I still use the L on my forehead from time to time.

Billy Madison is my all-time fave though.

That was such a great movie! I was in third grade when it came out, too. My friends and I would quote that movie a hundred times a day and we were sooooooo cool doing it!

This was awesome, a blast from the past... I think I was in 6th grade... and about 12...I was born and raised in Cali, and I can relate to wanting EVERYTHING Cher had...you just were not a cool kid in cali if you weren't like her!

You're right, that movie does bring back wonderful memories! Thanks for highlighting it!

I was 15 going on 16 and so wanted to be part of Cher's world. My friends and I constantly quoted lines from the movie and even went to Contempo Casuals to try and buy clothes like they had in the movie.

I remember the summer that this movie came out like it was yesterday. Such a fun walk down memory lane! I don't think that even as an adult I'll ever get sick of this movie.

I was 17 when this movie came out. And let me tell you girls did NOT dress this cute. We were way too grungy to even try to be this cool...but everyone was IN LOVE with the movie. The way they spoke, with all their fast banter and quick jokes made them seem sooooo smart. Way smarter than me and my other 17yr old girlfriends!!!

Ugh, AS IF! My favorite live :-) haha. I also loved when Cher tried to be sexy in bed with Christian and then fell off lol. Saying I was obsessed with this movie is an understatement. I even had a feather pen! This is one of the best movies ever. I still watch it if it comes on TV. I love this post!

Such a great movie!! It will always be a classic for ladies of our generation! I also loved your question and answers from your last post! I LOVED that movie! I think I've probably seen it at least a hundred times. I still watch it occasionally if it's on TV and I stumble across it. Thanks for helping me relive those memories!

Oh, how you took me back. I was, a tad, just a tad, bit older, but LOVED the movie, none the less. It rocked. Dare I say it...it still does! I would watch it, like, today. Totally. Do I age myself if I say Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Dirty Dancing were MY movies? Damn. I think I did.
